This fascinating book contains both a response to Laurence Clarksons pamphlet "The Quakers Downfall" and also an account of a meeting between Laurence Clarkson and Lodowick Muggleton and five Quakers including the author and George Fox.
What is interesting is that Clarkson is making extravegant claims as to his standing while Muggleton is very much in the background, if this is an accurate representation of the meeting it does suggest that Clarkson was in authority over Muggelton at the time.
